Mutton is perfect for anyone who prefers something with more depth than lamb or hogget. Curried mutton remains a favourite, but a slow-roasted mutton shoulder makes a Sunday roast that’s hard to forget. It’s one of those meats that rewards time and care, and once you’ve cooked it, you’ll understand why it’s making a comeback.

Our Grass Fed Mutton

Our grass fed mutton comes from Horner Farm in Somerset, where Holly and Mark rear a pedigree flock of North Country Cheviots and Welsh-cross ewes. These are hardy hill breeds, chosen for their resilience and their ability to thrive on natural pasture rather than concentrate feed. The result is meat that reflects the landscape it comes from, slow grown, full of flavour, and properly traditional.
