Soft Drinks

Soft drinks are non-alcoholic beverages which are often  carbonated, flavoured (naturally or artificially) and are enjoyed widely amongst many. They were originally marketed in the late 18th Century, they were inspired by naturally carbonated mineral waters and believed to have medicinal benefits. Although today the same can't be said, soft drinks are a lovely refreshing treat to enjoy alone or alongside a meal.

Our Soft Drinks

Somerset is renowned for its apple juice thanks to its rich cider-making heritage, fertile soil, and idealclimate for growing high-quality apples. The region’s long history of apple cultivation means that local producers have perfected their craft, creating juices that showcase the depth and variety of flavours. Somerset apples have to offer. Many small-batch and artisan makers in the area prioritise traditional pressing methods, ensuring that their juices are bursting with natural taste and character. As we are based on the Somerset and Devon border, we are fortunate to be surrounded by an incredible range of apple juice and soft drink makers. From Hullabaloo and their refreshing still lemonades to Herby4’s selection of apple juices, there is no shortage of great choices. Herby4 produces a fantastic chai spice apple juice, aptly named Chaider, which can be enjoyed warm on a winter’s evening as a non-
alcoholic alternative to mulled wine. If cordial is your thing, you’ll find some unusual flavours that make for a truly refreshing drink.
Thorncroft offers unique varieties such as Pink Ginger and Liquorice, which, in true Ruxstons style, you definitely won’t find everywhere!
