This slow-cooked, sharp gooseberry jam is made from handpicked Somerset gooseberries, capturing the fruit’s natural tang and depth of flavour.
 
Gooseberry jam has been a British favourite for centuries, with records dating back to the 16th century when it was commonly used as a tart accompaniment to rich meats. In the 19th century, gooseberries were so popular that "gooseberry clubs" sprang up across England, where growers would compete to produce the largest and best fruit.

Ruxstons Next Day Delivery

All our products are posted via Next Day courier from Monday through to Thursday. Any orders placed before 12:00 will normally be posted that same day.

 

We offer a frozen product delivery for our meats, with insulative woolcool and ice packs, our parcels are sent via Next Day courier. The parcels are all tracked so you are able to be present for the delivery, we dispatch from Mondays to Thursdays to avoid weekend delays. Any perishables products are kept safe in our packaging during a delay of up to 1 day, meaning they are safe for 2 days in the postal system.
