Van Houten’s Full-Bodied Warm Brown cacao powder is made from 100% cocoa with 22–24% cocoa butter. It is a Dutch-processed (alkalised) cocoa, which means the natural acidity of the cocoa has been neutralised to create a darker colour and smoother dispersion in liquids. This process was first developed in the 19th century to make cocoa more soluble, and Van Houten were among the pioneers. The powder is suitable for professional baking, confectionery, and beverage making.
