bulk buy of beef tallow 3 jars hunter and gather

Bulk pack of 3 x 300g saving 13% over buying individually.

Pure and time-tested, this grass-fed tallow is rendered from the suet of pasture-raised cattle. It’s a traditional fat that’s been trusted for generations, known for its high smoke point, subtle flavour, and wide range of uses in both cooking and skincare.

Perfect for roasting, frying, and baking, it brings excellent results to everything from golden roast potatoes to crisp pastry. Beyond the kitchen, its natural, skin-friendly properties make it a favourite in homemade balms, salves, and soaps.

Because it’s made from grass-fed animals, this tallow contains more omega-3 fatty acids, CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), and essential vitamins A, D, E, and K compared to grain-fed alternatives.

We’re often asked how it compares to ghee, which we also stock. While both are traditional fats with high heat stability, they come from different sources. Ghee is clarified butter made from cow’s milk, with a rich, nutty taste and beneficial compounds like butyrate. Tallow, by contrast, comes from beef fat and has a cleaner, more neutral flavour. Ghee is dairy-based (though it’s free from lactose), while tallow is completely dairy-free, making it ideal for paleo and keto diets.
