organic dark salted caramel chocolate

The Organic Dark Sea Salted Caramel Chocolate is one of the best salted caramel bars sold in the shops presently. The small chunks of caramel are evenly spaced within this thin dark chocolate bar, and give a subtle but delightful sweetness that cuts through the powerful dark chocolatey taste. The three flavours, caramel, salt and dark chocolate are perfectly balanced with none being too strong nor meek.

Adding salt to chocolate is a combination that is moderately new in chocolates long history, but is not showing any signs of losing popularity. With its roots in 1970’s France when Chocolatier Henri Le Roux created salted caramel it slowly started being found in more chocolate bars. Salt is typically added to dark chocolate rather than milk chocolate, because salt brings out the sweet flavour, so typically would make milk chocolate too sweet.

Vivani Chocolate was founded by Andreas Meyer in 2000. Andreas is a baker by trade and is a qualified nutritionist, he also built up huge experience before his Vivani days working in the organic food sector. The call to set something up himself was too strong, and he found a family run chocolate factory in Herford, Germany who shared his belief in creating an organic chocolate bar. Vivani is a chocolate bar with an artistic flair, Andreas believes that art speaks many languages, and chocolate is the same. You will notice his love of art on the beautifully packaged Vivani chocolate bars which really sets them apart from other brands.
