turkish delight gift box

A classic range of Turkish delight, from the traditional rose and lemon, but also with the uncommon orange and mint flavours. If you are looking for a Turkish delight gift box for a fanatic who loves these sweets, then they will be delighted to receive this hexagonal box, full to busting of Turkish delight. Alternatively you don’t need to buy it as a gift, it is also a great box to have after a dinner party with each guest having a piece or two.

The origin of turkish delight began in 1776, when there was a confectioner called Haci Bekir who has been given the title of the inventor. Haci Bekir modified a traditional sweet of the age by adding starch and sugar to make Lokum, or Turkish Delight as it is now often known. He introduced his invention to the Ottoman Palace based in Istanbul, which at the time was called Constantinople. After being a huge hit, it then made its way slowly around the palaces in Europe. So when you eat these sweets, you are very much in ancient royal company!

As with all Turkish delight from Trude it is totally vegan, gluten and GMO free with natural flavours.
