Our venison mince is made from wild venison sourced from Robert Hawker. It offers a lean alternative to traditional minced meats. With a deep, gamey flavour, it works beautifully in a variety of dishes. We particularly enjoy it with our mushroom tagliatelle pasta.
Because venison is naturally lower in fat than beef, pork, or lamb, it requires a slightly different approach when cooking. Adding a little oil or butter when frying prevents it from drying out, and cooking it low and slow in sauces or stews helps bring out its full flavour. In a Shepherd’s pie, venison mince creates a richer, more robust dish with a slightly sweeter, earthier taste compared to beef.
As with all minced meats, venison mince must be cooked thoroughly to ensure food safety. If making burgers, ensure they are cooked all the way through.

Vacuum packed and frozen at the earliest opportunity, this venison is therefore kept at it's best quality and best eaten within 1 year of freezing. Please allow a small +-50g tolerance for the packaged meat.
