Fine oatmeal is made by milling whole organic oats into smaller particles, creating a smoother texture than rolled or pinhead oats. This makes it cook quickly, absorbing liquid efficiently and thickening evenly. Oats are naturally high in beta glucan, a soluble fibre studied for its role in supporting normal cholesterol levels and digestive health. They also provide a slow release of carbohydrates, helping maintain steady energy. Being Soil Association certified organic, these oats are grown without synthetic fertilisers or pesticides and are processed in the UK. We use this organic fine oatmeal as the binding agent in our homemade sausage rolls we sell at our shop in Wellington Somerset.
