A simple tomato base with a little extra lift, this mixed herb passata takes ripe organic Italian tomatoes and blends them with a handful of classic herbs including basil and oregano. It’s smooth, lightly seasoned, and ready to use straight from the jar.
 
It’s not as thick as tomato paste, and it’s less intense than a pasta sauce, think of it as a shortcut to flavour without losing control over your cooking. We sometimes use this one on our Ruxstons pizzas when we want a more herb-forward finish, and it works beautifully.
 
Also great stirred through pasta, spooned into soups or stews, or poured over roasted veg with a bit of extra olive oil. An easy way to get dinner going without reaching for a jar full of extras you don’t need.
