Organic Red Lentils

Organic split red lentils are a popular pulse enjoyed in various cuisines around the world. They cook quite quickly, breaking down into a creamy consistency that works wonderfully in soups, stews, and purees. Their naturally mild, slightly sweet flavour makes them a versatile ingredient, capable of mixing well with a variety of herbs, spices, and seasonings. In addition to being delicious, split red lentils are an excellent source of plant-based protein and dietary fibre, as well as various vitamins and minerals.

In contrast, green split lentils have a more robust, stronger flavour and remain firmer after cooking. While both varieties are nutritious and protein-rich, they differ in cooking time, texture, and taste. Split red lentils are perfect for smooth, thick soups and dal dishes.
