A 100% grass fed Rump steak is a lean steak that has a very strong flavour. This is a great piece of beef to enjoy rare as it will have a lovely texture that should not be overcooked. One thing to note is with our farmers only feeding the cattle what they find on the pasture, is that the final beef taste will have a stronger more “gamey” flavour, just as nature intended. The layer of fat around the outside will add further flavour whilst cooking and can be used to rest the steak in the pan before serving rather than resting it on the plate. The rump steak is also a great cut to compare different breeds we have on offer, each with their unique tastes.

We will always choose the weight from our stock closest to your choice as possible. However please allow a small ±50g tolerance for your selection.
This beef is hung for 21 days to develop flavour, butchered, then vacuum packed and frozen, perfectly preserving the best taste and quality at its most fresh. Freezing also eliminates any food waste.
